I have been found scholastically and physically qualified, but was medically disqualified in October. Since then I have received two nominations that are in the CIS and understand that now the USNA can begin the waiver process at their discretion. How will I be notified if they begin the waiver process? Does is show up on my DODMERB status which currently says "Pending Waiver Submission/Review" or do I receive a letter or email from USNA? Thanks

Waiver

You should receive contact from the USNA. You won't receive contact from DoDMERB unless they want you to do remedial testing or provide more info. The message of pending waiver submission on the DoDMERB site means nothing is happening until the USNA initiates some action, which they should do if you have been qualified by the admissions board and nominated. Hope that helps.

Is it possible for me to contact someone at admissions and attempt to speed the process up? I just want to get the waiver opportunity ASAP.

Or they might decide not to seek a waiver for whatever reason.

Waiver

You might want to start with your Blue and Gold officer or your regional coordinator and see what they advise. Good luck!

Thanks! I've talked to my BGO and my regional coordinator. The regional coordinator says I need a Conditional Offer of Appointment so it sounds like I won't find anything out for a while.

Waiver

I guess that make sense. How are your stats? What do you think your chances are? Did you do NASS or get invited to a CVW? Those might be be good signs.

I have 720M 700CR and 32M 28E with a 3.9 unweighted gpa. My school doesn't rank. I have all the sports and leadership stuff down. I've been national finalist in several writing and project based contests. Then, I have nominations from my senator and my congressman in a relatively uncompetitive state. I got invited to the January 31-February 2nd CVW so I'm about to get my first real taste of the Academy. How about you? Are you just waiting until March like the rest of us?

Does anyone know about the waiver process for NROTC. Was given a waiver for the Academy 1 week after being medically D'Q but it has been 2 months since receiving my letter form NROTC that DS was medically disqualified. any help on who to contact to try to follow up with this would be appreciated.
