So yesterday I recieved this message

"HQ AETC/SGPS has rendered a waiver disposition on your DoDMERB physical examination. You can log into the DoDMERB site to check your status. Please allow 3 days for the DoDMERB site to be updated."

Assuming that the waiver process takes time and money, would the SA start a waiver if I did not have a good chance of being given an appointment, assuming the waiver passes of course.
Thanks

The prevailing wisdom is the SAs tend to seek waivers for those they consider very favorably.

They have limited resources and seek to utilize them in the best manner possible

No guarantees, but I would interpret it as a positive sign.

Just be aware - the waiver may allow you to attend and be commissioned but it may limit your career choices down the road. For example if you are color blind, you still may be DQ'd from positions that require 'normal' vision
