DS has received a Tier 1 NROTC scholarship, he has also applied to USNA, USAF, and USMA, but has been medically disqualified for a torn labrum 3 years ago and surgery for ostechondritis dissecans 6 years ago. He has competed at a high level for 5 years of football, wrestling and track.
I know from all my reading in this forum that waivers are processed automatically from the SA's if he is deemed highly qualified, but I have 2 questions:

1- His DoDMERB portal shows "Pending waiver submission/ review" does this mean the SA's are looking into the waiver or are we still waiting for them to decide?

2- Has anyone heard of a waiver being granted for ostochondritis dessicans?
 
Means that they are waiting to decide or review is in process. USNA typically waits until you have a nomination before considering a waiver.
 
Thanks goaltoserve, DS received nomination last night, so I will keep my fingers crossed.
