^^ I agree and remember that the coaches know the rules for recruiting. Candidates do not need to be experts in the finer points of recruiting, let the coaches inform you what a specific SA/sport does or doesn't allow. This gets asked every year.
No one gets a scholarship to play sports at a SA, so there tends to be a fair amount of turnover (i.e. you don't 'lose' your scholarship if you drop a sport like you would if recruited at a civilian college). Some just find out the time commitment is too great or they simply move on to other interests. Various sports allow for walkons and there will be plenty of time to learn about that once you start.
