Very interesting interview withSebastian Junger who recently published a book "WAR" about his time embedded with a Platoon of the 173d Abn Bde in the Korengal Valley in the mountains of Afghanistan. The interview is from WBUR on June 14th in Boston and also includes a substantial excerpt from the book.

Has anyone had the chance to go see the movie "Restrepo"? It is a documentary of the platoon out on OP Restrepo in the Korengal Valley- (where Junger was embedded with the 173d Abn). My son saw the movie at Ft Benning - told me it was excellent and it won an award at Sundance, but it had limited release and I haven't been able to find it released anywhere.

Saw it here at Campbell. My supply sergeant was attached to that platoon. Excellent film
