When the Beauchamp article came out (and it's been awhile now, so I'm surprised this is the first time it has been posted here), apparently there have been some very shady statements by Beauchamp about this own service.
 
Interesting to start quoting sentiments from the 1830s to argue that West Point should be closed...timely insight that is not!
The insinuation from earlier articles about the nomination process is something even those articles could not quite pull off without jumping to conclusions that if something might happen, it certainly had to be happening a majority of the time.

Except for the cost argument, none of his points hold much merit.
