Got information on this in my newsletter as some of those in the program graduated last year or are are getting ready to graduate next year. For those active military with children getting ready to attend High School. St George's School in Middletown RI (Newport) has a great program. Had two that graduated there, one USNA and another UCONN although not on this program. It is called "Military Scholars Program". They give scholarships to children of active duty military. As it is a Navy town they have always had good relations with the military and some of their sports teams play NAPS (although not in football they would get killed). Their main school house is dedicated to those graduates who died in WWI. Look up and check out the video and contact the school for further information. Could save you a lot of bucks for a private school and it is a great area. As one student said, she could be there for four years and not bounce around.

The Middlesex St George rivalry is a long standing tradition. Look up what Middlesex does to the Dragon. More PC Crap. Oh Horror they killed a cake!!! The Zamboni has a Zebra head on the front as it rounds the ice between periods. Maybe they should arrest the Zamboni driver. Both schools have a lot of fun with the rivalry and try to think up something new every year. Still might be a great scholarship for a 50K school even if they kill a Zebra now and then. I don't think they are on the endangered species list?

They look at the rivalry as Navy does Army. There have been some good and bad spirit spots from each of those military schools. High School rivalries can get intense and Middlesex weekend is fun for all.
