Wearing the SAM medal at West Point/as an officer?

If a soldier has earned the Sergeant Audie Murphy medal has a NCO prior to attending West Point, is he allowed to wear it at West Point or as an officer, since he has rightfully earned it?

I have tried looking in regulation but cannot find anything for it.

edit: For clarification, this medal is not a ribbon, but a medallion that hangs around ones' neck and is authorized for wear in the dress blues.
