Small class, one of the smallest over the last 10 years I think.

Total 239 swabs reported on R-Day

231 (+8 international)

36% Women
28% URM

Class profile will be released soon.

It's noticeable. They don't shake the walls nearly as much as I remember. Missing those few from each company is a big deal.

We got back yesterday! We were so impressed with the quality of the young men and women reporting in and their families. We've started the Facebook stalking for photos of our DD and have seen several so far. My thoughts and prayers are all about the swabs and their cadre right now. They are all under an enormous amount of stress (yes, even the cadre). But the administrative staff and the fine examples of cadets we met and watched around the campus reassured me that I left her in very caring (albeit tough love) and capable hands. I'm perfectly happy to send my letters and care packages with uplifting words of encouragement and wait (and maybe wait and wait and wait) for a letter in return. In the meantime, I thank Paul Duddy for the proof of life!!! Go Bears!

Yes, the "pep talk" from the Superintendent, the Commandant, the Academic Dean, Chaplain, Athletic Director etc in Leamy Hall can be very comforting to a parent.

That, and knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt where they are on Friday Night--tucked away in Chase Hall, and not at Delta House's Toga & Keg Party.

At least in their 4/c year.
