Is anyone else from the SAF attending the dinner celebration on March 19, 2011 at the San Antonio Country Club?

We have one in Colorado Springs, CO for Colorado appointees. Ours is this Friday though.

My father and I will be attending. We live really close to Fort Sam, and the country club is right next to the base, only 10 minutes away from us

Dodgers_fan, have a great time!

omnipsi, wonderful! Hope to "see" you there!

Anyone going to St. Louis? Would it be okay if I go alone or is that creating a uncomfortable situation for myself?

My cadet went alone although parents were invited to purchase a ticket ($$$). He knew an older couple who lives in our neighborhood but other than that he said people were nice and introduced themselves. BG Rapp was there and cadet candidates were invited to arrive early and meet him.

I'm surprised appointees are invited to some of these.

I'll be attending one in Nashville on Saturday.

I will be going to the Memphis area Founders' Day dinner on March 11. If anyone else is going as well then drop me a PM.

Going to ours at the end of the month. Heard something about a 'crazy' COL being the speaker?
Appointees here are invited too. The Dean (Finnegan) spoke at ours last year and he was great! So glad I had the opportunity to hear him before he left WP.
He also met with the appointees before the Dinner. One appointee there had not accepted his appointment yet. I looked over at him off and on throughout the Dean's presentation and you could tell that he was enthralled with everything the Dean said.
Happy to say that he accepted his appointment a couple of weeks later and is now a Plebe at West Point. :thumb:

I was invited to the one in MA as well where Gen Trainor will be speaking in a couple weeks. I'm hoping to go, but its one of those things that I have to work around the soccer tournament that is the same weekend <_<

Excellent Founder's Day celebration last night in Nashville. General Trainor spoke. The candidates who attended looked like deer in the headlights all night. It was nice to run into classmates and conpanymates I hadn't seen in years.

Pennsylvania

I was invited, and am going to the Lehigh Valley, PA area Founders Day Dinner. Anyone from Pennsylvania?
