West Point - SLS Question

I recently received an email from Ms. Commillia Olivers of West Point after applying to the Summer Leadership Seminar. It pertained to my unsubmitted SAT scores. I emailed back my scores and she has not responded. The score deadlines are on April 1st.

Should I assume that they've already received the scores, or should I have a full Collegeboard score report be sent specifically to the West Point thing?

A bit confused about the SLS program, since it doesn't have place to view the applicantion status.

Thanks

Well in reality, other than on the actual application forms, all scores are supposed to be actual official copies/score reports from Collegeboard (or from whoever does ACT, if you submit that). I don't believe they are supposed to accept emailed scores from the candidate.

However, I myself know that this can be bent, and isn't definite. The same Ms. Olivers accepted my ACT scores, which I found out 2 days after I submitted my application, via email, though she informed me it has to be the official copies, for future reference. She even added my current Varsity Spring Track season under the EC's, even though the season hadn't yet began at the time.
(And I have had all of my scores sent to WP. I just emailed the scores myself, to get them in quicker so they could be part of consideration for SLS, instead of being received a week or two later, possibly after the decision had been made)

I would suggest that if she doesn't respond within another day or so, to write another email to her asking for an update, that this program is important to you, or call them up, asking about this issue. Good luck with this.

I'd recommend you give Ms. Olivers a call Monday morning. It's best not to assume (you know what happens when you assume!). I also think you had a place to enter your scores directly on your SLS application. I hope you are offered a place at SLS but understand that it is very competitive and many qualified applicants won't be offered admission to SLS. Fortunately you're not too far away and could always make a separate overnight visit. Good luck!

Thank you all for the quick responses.

I had Collegeboard send two of my SAT scores to West Point about a month ago. Just kinda anxious since I haven't been able to make any contact with Ms. Olivers since.

Is there any way to "update" any of the information for the application, or is the submission final?

There is a link on the candidate portal for making changes where you can submit any updates. Any new scores, activities, awards, etc will improve your chances for SLS and later an appointment.
