What do my chances at West Point look like so far?

Thank you once again Buff81!

Your gift for clarity is a boon to all who encounter you.
Your INFORMED and concise comments inspire me to do better myself.
That mildly amused and humble tone brings a smile to our faces,
and the mere arrangement of letters that state "Buff81" sets everyone's heart aquiver with anticipation for an actual piece of useful info.

In short, THANK YOU for always answering our questions so well!!!!:thumb:

Are all admissions reps 1337 like you, buff?

And Granuaile... That's quite, uh... poetic! No? :D :thumb:

I got that percentage from an e-mail I've received from my RC (NE)(titled: "INTRODUCTION TO WEST POINT, PLEASE READ IMPORTANT INFORMATION").
Thanks for posting that! I've never seen it broken down like that before.

I got that from the WP Admissions website:

Re - "Do well in calculus, trigonometry and physics."

Showing math potential is a big deal. The Math SAT score is the biggest indicator of academic success at West Point. Do well in your math classes and especially on the Math sections on your standardized tests. Below a 560 SAT and 22 ACT in
math will put you in the risk category.

Everyone takes calculus and physics at West Point - no matter your major. It would be to your advantage to do well in these classes in high school so that you are prepared for them at WP. Physics has the reputation of being a GPA killer. There is a picture that I have seen in several presentations that shows a sheet hanging out of a window at WP that says: 'Guns don't kill people - physics does.'

Granuaile- my FFR hat feels a little snug now.
Thanks.

You got me on this one.
What do you mean by '1337'?

Oh. Internet slang. You shouldn't know it anyway.

"1337" means "leet" which means "elite". Again, really internet slang.

Just a compliment ;) Saying you are basically an "awesome ad rep".
