What if we discover a mistake in the ROTC app after it's been submitted?

Son submitted his Army ROTC scholarship app last night. After printing out the hard copy, we discovered that the athletics section was messed up. It recorded him as a baseball and basketball player. He's not. He's track/cross country and "other." (He clicked "other" for martial arts.)

This is very strange. I personally checked his online app and saw the sports were correct. Then, in the hard copy, they're wrong.

After 72 hours, he will try to correct the mistake by contacting the atccps email address he received in his "thanks for applying" message. But, while we wait through that "please allow for processing" window of time, we're pretty worried.

What's up? How bad is this mistake?

    Thanks.

You should have time to fix it because it is not like the app goes in and 72 hours later the board meets. Just correct it as soon as possible.

Oh, is it possible to make revisions? He tried but didn't see any way to do it. We'll look again tonight.

    Thanks.

We're AF so it may be different, but for the AF we wanted to update the ec's, so we just contacted them, and they unlocked it for us.

Don't worry about it. he will get a letter from Cadet command and some contact information or maybe he can find it online.
He can just contact Cadet command and make the correction.

Sons printed out fine from the online site so we thought all was good. Then when he received the activities list that they send you to have the counselor sign...THAT one was incorrect. My son attached a corrected version, had that one signed by counselor and then sent it in. Cadet Command said that that is why they send a printed form, to make sure their data base is correct.

You can email them or wait for their printed copy and see what it says.

His file is now complete! yippee...now he waits.

Thanks for the info Singaporemom. It's a relief to know we're not the only ones.

    Good luck to your son.
