This is a two part post, so bear with me.

    My first question is...

Lets say I were to contract with ROTC under a four year scholarship, accept their stipends, and be just like any other cadet. Would I be able to switch over to west point after one year? My mind is set on west point, it is all that I want right now.

Alright, the second part of this post...

what are the average act scores of a candidate offered to go there?

Does being in JROTC and in a high leadership position there Help being accepted to west point?

Yes, your contract with ROTC would become null and void.

Look at the class profile for 2012 here:
    http://www.usma.edu/Class/2012/profile.asp

Yes. West Point is seeking candidates who follow the scholar/leader/athlete model. Being active in JROTC will enhance your application.

Thank you for the information, I have been trying to find out the answer to that first question for so long.

About the act averages however, those are for the actual academy, I meant for the prep school.

    Thank you so much.
