I have read in many places, about Blue and Gold which occurs before TAPS I believe. Does anyone have any information about this? I have always been curious about it but never have actually known anything concerning it. Thanks!

the alma mater of USNA. I believe all mids sing it with their companies on Sunday nights? it's also common practice after most Navy sporting competitions, I think.

Blue & Gold during plebe summer is every night -- unless it has changed recently.

Another variant of Blue & Gold is when it is termed as: "Blue & Golds," which refers to the jogging suit.

During plebe summer, it's the final plebe formation every night right before bed, and serves as accountability as well (TAPS). It's sort of a daily wrap-up, and on some nights it's when the plebes get their mail (only during plebe summer). During the ac year, plebes only have it on Sunday nights. Navy Blue and Gold is the alma mater as well, yes, and the jogging suits are also affectionately referred to as "Blue and Golds."
