I speak french and english (learning irish gaelic), participate in MUN, and am going to a military summer camp this summer what else are these academies looking for that would be good aspect beside good grades and behavior.

In a nutshell:

Academics - good grades, AP classes, good SAT/ACT
Physical Fitness - participation in sports and other physical activities, good CFA scores
Leadership - team captain, class officer, JROTC/CAP officer, etc.
Ethics - community service, clean police/diciplinary record, good reason to want to attend (not because of your parents), desire to succeed.

You don't need to be perfect in all the sections, just be well rounded and have at least one thing showing you are proficient in that section.

thank you,

I think i have physical down because i play baseball bt jrotc may be a problem since i dont live in the country (ex-pat) but if i move back i will look further into that thank you for the feedback if anyone else still has any comments feel free to inform me of them thank you

The Academies say that an important part of the "whole candidate score" is leadership. Listed above are some of the many organizations in which you can show that. I'm not an admissions staffer, just a mom, but I would hate to see a kid pick JROTC through high school just to groom him/herself for the application. If that's really what you love, great, go for it! But there are other ways you can show leadership; participate in what you love, work at it to show leadership in those things, and enjoy your high school years.
