Today in the mail along I received a little brochure on USNA's 2013 Summer STEM program but it did not go into much detail into what the programmer actually was. Can someone please explain it in greater detail. Thank you in advance.

There's a lot of good stuff about STEM from previous years that you can search in the forum archives.

Basically it is a short camp at USNA with labs, field trips, STEM projects, and a chance to see USNA and meet some current midshipmen (students). A few years ago the featured project was a forensic study of the sinking of the Titanic. It is open to young people from 8th through 10th grade. The registration site will be opening in a couple of days. For more specific information check the site linked by jason922.

Honestly for all you are offered in that program (multiple nights accommodations, activities) $300 is super cheap compared to other summer programs. If your school does not already offer a STEM program, then you should definitely look into it.

Unfortunately the STEM program happens while I'm still in school but if I et accepted I doubt my guidance counselor would mind.
