What to bring??!

what sort of school supplies are needed?

And room organization stuff?

ideas? lol

Thanks!

Basic supplies:

Binder (one for each class)
Notebooks
Paper
Printer Paper
Pencils, Pens, Highlighter
Stapler
Scissors
Hole Puncher
Brown Bomber (you'll learn what those are when you get here)
Sticky notes
Tape
Giant Calendar (very helpful to fill it with all graded assignments)

All you have to do is walk around the cadet store and you'll see all the items and know what you want/need.

As far as organizing materials just anything in an office supply store such as those things you can put tons of pencils and stuff in or the plastic containers with different slots that you can put in your drawer. Basically makes stuff easier to organize.

Don't forget to bring your sense of humor to R-day as it will come in quite handy over the summer and into academic year!

I've heard that bit of advice everywhere i turn! Also practicing to laugh inside... without getting smoked by some upper class!!

My tip: Don't think of funny things when in formation. Especially if you're like me and laugh at many little things.

anybody heard anything about compression shorts? i've read places that they are good to bring!

AF any suggestions? Color?

I believe in previous discussions it was stated that the compression shorts had to be black.

I could have sworn I answered this before...black compression shorts are good. :thumb:

hahah sorry that other thread turned to more girly topics!!! so i thought maybe reposting it here would be useful!!

either way, thanks for the info AF!

AF.....how many pairs of the compression shorts should I buy for him?

It depends. If he is willing to wear the issued underwear then around 3 but if he plans on only wearing compression shorts he would need more like 7 as the laundry during Beast seemed to get done randomly at times.

He's a wrestler! He's never worn tighty whitey's in his life! 7 it will be! Should he send them with his laundry or should he wash them himself and keep them close? I saw scary things on the girls info page!

Compression shorts are tough so the laundry won't harm them but during Beast it won't get cleaned on a specific cycle like during the academic year so he should have 2 or 3 that he keeps and cleans himself while the rest he can send with laundry. This way he will always have some on him.

One of my loads of laundry got lost and I never found it until 3 weeks later in a different company area.

Thanks! We'll make sure he is set!
