Hi I have been working diligently to get my application in as early as possible, and I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what I need to have done before school is up.

especially for letters of recomendation: I have asked for my recs from math and english teachers, but when can I get more information to them?

Also, when will the essays, (etc) part of the application become available?

i'm just getting nervous because I want to be the most competitive applicant possible....

I would ask for a bunch of signed/sealed transcripts. I ended up needing a bunch of these for my MOCs and other things, and it was a pain to try and track down guidance in the summer. You'll get the essay and info for letters of rec once you can log onto CIS. Just make sure that you have your teachers email addresses for that.

For the math and english evals the Academy information system will send them a link that they have to fill out so asking them for a letter of rec would probably be wasting their time unless they are doing it for your noms. Good luck!

My son asked a whole lot of people for letters of recommendation. That way he could choose the letters that were the most appropriate for the situation. We sent a letter with the request and asked them to kindly address the letters to each of the nomination sources as well as a few that were To Whom it Concerns. Whenever we needed a letter, we just went to the file and it was ready to go.

All of my recs and evals were written confidentially. To this day, I don't know what my teachers and advisers wrote on mine :)... I think it's better that way.

USNA is going to email your math and english teacher as well as the school registrar using an email address that you provide. From our experience last summer, some, actually quite a few school's email firewall would not accept email from USNA. They were not receiving the emails. Very frustrating. So, we eventually had to get a personal email address for each of them. The registrar balked, we had to go through the vice principal.

You might follow up immediately when USNA emails you that they have contacted the teachers, registrar. Make sure they really got the email!

    Good Luck:thumb:
