I recently attended a West Point Parents Club meeting with my parents and one of the parents (USMA grad) told me that since I was prior service I should wear any awards or items that I currently wear on my Dress Blues (ASU). I currently have an Expert Marksmanship Badge, Army Achievement Medal, Army Service Medal, National Defense Medal, Infantry Crossed Rifles and Infantry Blue Cord. What am I authorized to wear at the academy?

Cadets and Army Officers do not wear marksmanship badges. Knowing how to shoot will be a big help in Cadet Basic Training though.

AAM, ASR (ribbon), NDSR (ribbon) are authorized.

You will have to be branched infantry to wear the crossed rifles and complete IBOLC to wear the blue cord again. So not until after graduation.

Thanks! I was pretty sure I could only wear the ribbons, but I thought I'd ask the experts on here ;)
