When do they test you for validating out of a class?

Is it just as Beast starts? During, after Beast? My son may be able to test out of differential calculus and beginning computer science. If he stayed in and repeated, he could cruise a bit, but downside is he won't have as much room in his schedule to take higher level interesting classes later.

You test out during Beast. As for computer science, that would involve getting together with a teacher and deciding exactly how competant he is at programming and whatnot. However, I would recommend staying in the IT class and getting the "A" because it is easy anyway. It all depends on how early you want to get into your major classes, if early at all.

The majority of the validation tests were during the first two weeks of Beast for us.
