When to first contact ALO?

I am sure I am not the only one who wants to know this: when should we first contact our ALO's?
And how, via email or phone? Those are the only two contacts that are given to us with the SS application.
I am a junior and have a feeling that I should sooner rather than later.

This is likely an easy one, but having a tough time finding out who the ALO is that is assigned to our school. Counselors don't seem to know. Thanks.

Did you try the ALO Lookup on the Admissions page?

Even if I do not have any questions, might it be in my better interest to simply establish contact with my ALO? Or should I wait until I actually need help?

I would contact your ALO now because it wouldn't hurt to be longer in contact with them. Maybe try and arrange to have an informational interview for early next year (Jan. or Feb.) so that you can meet face to face and discuss your interest in the academy.
