I know these are two different issues. On my Candidate Portal, I can't find any info on when I can take the CFA. When can I take the CFA, and how do I send the results in?

Also, when can I take the DoDMERB exam?

Are you a junior? If so, you can take the CFA at SLS, or you can have a gym teacher (though not a coach) administer it for you at school

As for DoDMERB, once it hits roughly June and you are a rising senior, you will get something in the mail about scheduling an appointment

I thought you could get your CFA done early as long as your instructor holds on to the scores and submits it. The CFA stuff I have says that he/she can do it electronically.

You'll get a DoDMERB mailing relatively early in the process. Schedule your exam ASAP and you could possibly get the results in about a week, that worked out well for me. Don't worry about taking the CFA yet. The one at SLS can be considered as a practice run but some people, myself included, just allowed their passing scores to be submitted and didn't have to bother taking it at home.

Unofficially yes, officially you will have to ask the admissions office.

If I was your CFA tester, I won't be comfortable with giving you the test now and reporting the score later without something from the admissions office saying it is okay. But that's me.

For the CFA, your portal will have a link for it. When you click the link, it will ask for the name, email address, etc. of the person administering the test. Once you fill that out, it sends them an email with the forms they need to submit your scores electronically.

I agree with that. I will definitely contact admissions prior to taking the CFA. I wouldn't want any doubt.

I would focus on perfecting your CFA scores until USMA sends you a letter instructing you to turn in CFA scores. It's early to be taking your CFA; you have plenty of time to practice and improve in the meantime.

Ok, thanks for the information. I have the CFA instructions on my portal, but nothing asking for the name and info of the person administering the test, as some of you mentioned.

I guess my question is when will this start showing up on the portal. I opened a file up in December with SLS apps, and they sent me some letter saying they deemed me as a qualified candidate. But nothing has changed on the portal. When does this start happening?

You can submit your CFA when the app becomes available. Last year everything went live in late June.
