When will I hear back from selection board for 2-yr Navy scholarship?

I just finished sophomore year at my university, during which I was a college programmer at my school's NROTC unit. I sent in my 2-year scholarship application through the unit a few months ago, back in May. My advisor told me that I should hear back by mid-July as to whether or not I got the scholarship, but I haven't heard anything as of today.

The only clue I could gather from the NROTC website was that the board meets in late July; it doesn't specify when decisions would be passed down. Obviously, the mid-July estimate from my advisor was a little ambitious.

Just because the anticipation is kind of killing me, does anyone have any idea when these decisions tend to be made / when I will hear back from NROTC? I feel like I stand a good chance but the silence obviously takes a toll, and not knowing when I can expect to hear back is tough.

The board met on July 20. It takes a couple of weeks for the results to work their way up the chain for approval prior to the unit being notified. The unit leadership then notifies the Midshipmen on whatever timing they choose.
