I just finished sophomore year at my university, during which I was a college programmer at my school's NROTC unit. I sent in my 2-year scholarship application through the unit a few months ago, back in May. My advisor told me that I should hear back by mid-July as to whether or not I got the scholarship, but I haven't heard anything as of today.
The only clue I could gather from the NROTC website was that the board meets in late July; it doesn't specify when decisions would be passed down. Obviously, the mid-July estimate from my advisor was a little ambitious.
Just because the anticipation is kind of killing me, does anyone have any idea when these decisions tend to be made / when I will hear back from NROTC? I feel like I stand a good chance but the silence obviously takes a toll, and not knowing when I can expect to hear back is tough.
