My transcript isn't showing up in the CIS, I'm afraid I sent it to the wrong address. Does anyone know where to send it? Thanks.

Candidate Guidance Office
United States Naval Academy
117 Decatur Road
Annapolis, MD 21402-5018

If you send it through the school, make sure to tell them to put your candidate number on the front of the envelope along with your name.

Thank you, I will make sure they do that. By chance, if they don't put my candidate number on the front am I in trouble?

I'm sure it will streamline things on the admissions office's part if you can put your number on it, but I don't think it will hurt anything if you don't. It'll just slow down things a bit for them.

My regional director told me to send it to Halsey Field House.

I used the candidate guidance office address both for my junior year transcript and 1st trimester senior year transcript and faced no issues, so I'm guessing using either would work for jct95.

From the Admissions Facebook page ...

that is our old address. It should have come anyway, but I would go ahead and send another one because it should have only taken a few weeks. The address is 52 King George Street, Annapolis MD 21402. We do not accept faxed transcripts, but as long as it is postmarked by the 31st, we'll still accept it via mail!

In the context of a transcript being sent in October that hasn't been posted yet.

Do you know when 7th semester grades need to be in by? Mine won't be available for a week at least.

From USNA Admissions Facebook page

"we only accept mailed transcripts, so it would be best just to mail it to admissions at 52 King George Street, Annapolis, MD 21402."

Ok, thank you. Provided one was to send a transcript to the previous address, what would happen?

Thanks I appreciate all the help.

My schools registrar sends the SAs the transcripts electronically, maybe look into that as well, made things easier for me.

Sorry, bit of a side note. Can someone explain this 7th semester business to me, what is the time line on this one? What is considered the 1st semester? The first semester of junior year?

first semester of senior year is 7th.

9th grade - 1st & 2nd semester
10th grade - 3rd & 4th semester
11th grade - 5th & 6th semester
12th grade - 7th & 8th semester

Awesome, thank you! Is this spelled out somewhere or is it just common knowledge?

At least on the USMA candidate portal, the 6th semester is the first required transcript. Then there are dates listed for the 7th and 8th (final) semester transcripts. It may be referred to elsewhere when filling out the initial application or NASS/SLE as submitting your 1st/2nd semester of junior year transcript (I don't remember).

Best advice re. transcripts is to send them in as soon as you are done with the semester and they are available. If your high school counselor has to do it, send him/her an e-mail with the SA/college addresses, or fill out their form if required. My DS's school uses Parchment, a third party processor, and he has to go online to request the transcripts, pay a small fee, and the request is sent to the high school. Then the high school sends an official transcript either by mail or electronically, depending on how Parchment has the SA or college listed in their database. For USMA / 7th semester, I paid the fee in the morning, the high school received the request and submitted the official transcript in the afternoon, and it was reflected on DS's portal by the next day. However, for USNA the official transcript was mailed and after 11 days it still hasn't been updated on DS's portal. But it's a good idea to give the SA 2-3 weeks to update mailed info.

Admissions made it very clear in their emailed request for DS's seventh semester transcript that they would only accept a sealed/signed MAILED transcript; and would not accept either an emailed or faxed transcript.

I asked this on another thread, but will ask here as it's more appropriate to the topic: My DS has not received any request to send in senior year transcripts. Is this a bad sign, good sign, or ??? Do you think he should send them in?

I responded to your other thread. Go ahead and send it in. This is a post on Facebook from 1/27/14: Students are encourage[d] to submit their first semester transcript when it becomes available, but it is not required.

I don't think it's a bad thing if they don't request it. Perhaps (but I don't know for sure) that they are requesting it now for clear vacancy winners (those with Principal noms) or LOAs. It could be for borderline candidates. I'm just guessing here.... My DS hasn't received the request, but he sent it in anyway. He is also top 2% of his class and 35 ACT.
