My NROTC package coordinator is really trying to get me to submit my package by the end of this week, and I'm pretty dang close to getting it through, but I just need to submit my class ranking and finish my essay. However, my school couselor gave me both a 9-12 ranking and a 10-12 ranking, and now I'm not sure which to use, since when I asked, she said 'both are valid' and my 10-12 one is better. I contacted the PO1 and he hasn't responded yet, most probably since he doesn't know, since he usually answers my texts within 10 or so minutes. I don't know, I'm just anxious to submit this package since I've already gotten offers of admissions to a college with an NROTC unit and for my desired major.

Tl;dr: Is using my 10-12 class ranking ok for my NROTC scholarship application?

I will honestly say I don't know the exact answer. The thing I would check into is if your class rank is on the transcripts that will be sent for the application or not. On my DD's transcript it had her class rank listed and that is where we got the number from. Good luck and keep us posted.

Use the better one. Let your guidance counselor know you used the better one so your application is consistent with their submission.

Oh ok. Well my counselor sent my rec in before my junior year spring semester grades were finalized in school records so her numbers are already skewed lol
