Who is still waiting?

skc and SETXDad - I'm so sorry - the waiting is hard, but getting the dreaded TWE is even harder. Wishing the very best for your young adults.
 
Anyone else still waiting to hear their status for USNA 2014? No word here yet...

Son's twe arrived yesterday but all is well. Good luck to all the young people, to who I offer this advice: 1) Know when to give up; and 2) Never give up. There are a million ways to get where you want to go.

It's off to Nebraska for a year (Go Big Red). Will join NROTC and apply for class of 2015. At least the year will be cost free (tuition and r/b paid) due to the Regents and Engineering College scholarships. With A's in all my AP courses and repeating the same courses in the fall (have chosen not to take the AP credit) at UNL, I should have a solid academic foundation for plebe year 2011. Anxious to get feedback from USNA as to how to improve my "whole person". Congrats to all that received their appointments, hopefully will see you on the Yard fall 2011.
 
TWE for DS late last week. Not completely unexpected. On to plan B (or C, or D) as the spring wears on. Thanks to all participating in this forum, the help, advice and perspective have been invaluable. Is it just me, but considering these kids (and their families) represent the best and most dedicated young men and women in our country, could we expect the Academy to, at the very least, get the right year on the form letter they send to reject these wonderful kids? Bush league IMHO.
 
I'm with you TrevorsMom - we received nothing today - for some reason the waiting is now getting easier! Best of luck to your son.
 
Son received the TWE today. He was happy that he made it this far. Now it's off to either VMI or V-Tech where he'll participate in ROTC, and he is excited about visiting these two schools this weekend to make up his mind. He didn't get an NROTC scholarship either (tier 3), which we knew was a long shot. When I asked if he's reapplying to the academy, he said "Definitely!" Good Luck to all appointees, and hopefully we'll see you in 2011!
 
I'm very sorry to hear from everybody who received TWEs. I also feel very bad for posting this as well, since I received a BFE for NAPS today. I understand this isn't the USNA, but i feel very accomplished.

Once again, I am very sorry to hear about those who got TWEs.

AWESOME NEWS!!!!!! Congratulations. It is so exciting to read your good news and know that NAPS appointments are still being made - don't feel bad for posting good news like this. Thanks for sharing and again Congrats.
 
Congratulations! Don't feel bad and you certainly should feel very accomplished! Means you'll be Class of 2015 along with the TWE'ers who are reapplying:thumb:
