My son just texted me from school. There is another boy in his class applying to USNA who knows a B&G officer in Philly and he told my son's friend that the computer system that they have just lit up with rejections after having almost no activity.

What exactly does this mean? Good or Bad? Is a TWE coming our way?

Not surprised the TWE/final appointment notification has begun. Especially when considering the high acceptance rate, "most competitive" process in years (per many BGO's) and April 15th notification date.

I don't even like typing the letters _ _ _ and I won't!!!! Good Luck to all
 
Son was told that, with the pileup of applications, that third "Q" - a medical waiver - would be sent for consideration after admissions review, and that he would likely hear about grant/denial of waiver as part of the appointment news.
 
Our son is 3 Q with 2 noms and still no word - thought we'd hear by now.

My D was told the same thing, more or less.
 
We never got word if he was academically qualified, but know other 2 were fine and did recieve a NOM from MOC. So really not sure why have not heard if should not be considered any more.
 
Still waiting

If you don't hear something by April 15, what does that mean? Does it mean that you are still in the hunt or they just forgot to mail your TWE.:unhappy:
 
I spoke with admissions today and the woman stated that all the letter would be sent out by the 15th, so the latest you should receive one is the following week.
 
with all this talk , be it BGO's seeing rejections, letters sent by April 15th, etc, are we all just waiting for TWE or are there really more appointments in the hopper. Trying to keep the faith, bring on spring break!!!!!!
