Oh my, Hockeymom...I am so sorry-- my heart sank when I saw this post...I am sure your young adult will be VERY successful at plan B....

No more waiting here either. DS says he'll reapply for 2015, but for now it's on to Va Tech. Go Hokies!!
 
Hang in there everyone! I got my TWE in mid-April even though I was 3Q'd. I did AFROTC at the University of St Thomas in MN. I applied again to USAFA and USNA and have an appointment to USAFA now. If you're determined to go to an Academy apply again and you can make it happen! Good luck!
 
dang...another day, another empty mailbox! At least it's not the TWE! Please tell us it's a good sign...
 
nothing here either. Empty mailbox again. At least, we can feel that things are alive for at least another day. I guess that we will just have to wait until the mail comes tomorrow. Who knows what they discussed this last Tuesday and Thursday.

Waiting for the mailman. That is something I thought that I would never be doing. Well, I guess there is a first time for everything.

Sorry to hear the bad news. As others have noted, have your child continue to apply. The young man that received our Rep's primary nom this year was a sophomore at James Madison Uni here in VA. He's 3 Q'd and should be in this year w/ the primary nom.

Mine has said he would keep trying if he gets the TWE but he has a NROTC/Marine option scholarship to VMI and will accept it if USNA doesn't work out this year. Given that, this is probably going to be his first and only shot.
 
agony of waiting...yuck...will I love or hate my mailbox. Paranoid as I see hockeymom32 and brass strings states are VA and MD.....we live in Midwest and wonder if the mail takes an extra day to get here. Slow 1/4 mile walk to mailbox today!!!

Thank goodness for back up plan.

Good luck to all and am sorry to hear about any of our amazing kids receiving _ _ _. I will not type those three dreaded letters!!!
 
Ahhh. I remember last April when I saw the dreaded TWE in my mailbox. This time I hope to see nothing but a gorgeous BFE crammed in there! Second time around has to be the charm!

Unfortunatley, my son got the dreaded thin white USNA :bang:envelope today. Still hopeful for other academies. Best of luck to all.
 
Guess i'll have to wait till next week because I received nothing today in my mailbox!

Just to let everyone know, I received an LOA for NAPS... but out of curiousity, am i still able to get a TWE? sorry if it sounds like a stupid question!
