Will a Junior Military College and a year of NROTC prepare me for OCS?

Long story short; I didn't get the regular NROTC scholarship so I plan on going to Georgia Military Academy for two years and then transferring to an HBCU with the two year Frederick C Branch scholarship . Problem is , I would be going straight into OCS my first summer after transfering. Would you think that two years at a JMC and a year at NROTC would prepare someone for OCS ?

Thank you for your help !

People are successful at OCS all the time after just attending basic training. Your larger concern should be actually getting an OCS slot. They're hard to get now - probably harder in a few years, unless something changes. Is there no ROTC option at the HBCU?

There is NROTC at HBCU's which is where I want to go after Georgia Military College.

I was going to go straight in to an HBCU but I took Liberal Arts Math in high school and by the time I knew that a lot of colleges wouldn't accept that as a math credit it was too late.

Luckily GMC does :shake:
