Hello all,
I'm currently in Army ROTC with my DODMERB physical coming up. I know that I'll be disqualified due to an Essential Tremor, my parents and I first noticed these when I was about 8, all doctors I'd seen told me not to worry about it. I still wanted to know what it was so I had an MRI and EEG with a neurologist and he told me it was an Essential Tremor, in his words this meant "We don't know what causes it". The tremor has not worsened at all throughout my teen years and has not limited my school, work, or day to day responsibilities. I shoot with an air pistol and air rifle regularly as well as at a range with my brother when he can since I don't have my own firearms. I know I don't have great chances for obtaining a waiver, but, what can I do to give myself a better chance and will I have the opportunity after being disqualified to be checked out further by trusted military/military contractor doctors. Thanks for your time on this.
