Wisdom Teeth

Re

The qualified registered dentists provide the services that are most required by you and they can be general or specialists.

No surgeon in our town would remove my DD's wisdom teeth before she reported to the Academy -- they uniformly said the procedure was not medically indicated at that time and no civilian surgeon would perform what they considered to be an unnecessary medical procedure. 2nd class year USAFA required her to have her wisdom teeth removed (they felt there was now a good medical reason to remove them). She had a good surgeon -- but bad luck/bad results. She developed a serious post-operative infection -- even with good care afterwards. She ended up back in the hospital twice, on IV antibiotics, and had to have a second surgery. Fortunately, we live close enough to the Academy that my husband was allowed to take her to a hotel following each surgery and provide close supervision and care for a couple of days. Like all medical procedures you don't know what will/might happen. Some go well -- others do not. She was sick off and on for more than a month. She eventually recovered and is fine now.
