Would anybody on here recommend taking January SAT's if my USNA file is "Complete Pending Review" Would they still accept new scores. My current scores are as follows
    2190 Combined
    1500 CR+M
    760 M
    740 CR
    690 W

Your SAT score looks strong enough, I feel there is no need?? Did you get a nomination?? Think that is more important at this point?

Don't worry, my sons SAT score was very similar to yours, he got nom early Jan then a LOA 2 days after, once you get nom everything happens very fast, I am assuming you hv high GPA with lots honor & APs & varsity/captain & other activities are top notch too;).

Thanks for this post, I am considering retaking the SAT.

    1300 score CR+M
    710 M
    590 R

I have a bunch of honors/DE (will validate) courses on the STEM side, since the track that I have been taking at my school has focused on that, and that I have finished the literature/writing portions my freshman year.

Yes I think your SAT can be higher, that is good you are strong in math, I bet with little more study you can prob get 800 math & 700CR:)

Retake it! With super-scoring, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose.

Retake it for sure. The extra studying always helps. I didn't study for the Math section and got a 760 both times I took the SAT, but I did study for the Math Level II subject test(need it for other schools), and got an 800 just by doing a few practice tests. Also, the CR can be easily improved. I improved 60 points from my first attempt to the second. Just do a bunch of practice questions.

    *sigh*

I can't take it, my school doesn't offer it in January (I go to a boarding school and they set dates up for you to take the SAT).

--Also, my Reading score jumped 150 points the second time I took it. I took the May SAT then the June SAT.

I was actually notified that I got great recs from my teachers at the nomination panel.

I'm pretty sure you can sign up at another location nearby online. I'm homeschooled and have been taking SATs at different locations for a while. Transportation could be an issue, but as far as I know, you're not limited to taking it at your school.

I agree with @goforspaatz I also go to boarding school, and I am able to take the SAT at the local town high school when my school doesn't offer it. Are you at a really isolated location? You could always reiterate to school administration how important this is to you, and they may be able to provide transportation.

I took a look with the school today. They have a priority for transportation. They also don't have enough students willing to sign up (60% of the students have been accepted to a university thus far, and the rest have JUST finished their applications).

I really don't know how to go about trying for this. I could go home, but that would create a lot more stress on me and my family. I guess I'll have to hope and pray that the recommendations and all qualify me.
