So I've been wondering for a while, the Cadet Handbook says "12 white briefs (some with polyester/moisture wicking is recommended or nylon/spandex with cotton lining)" for women's underwear. Must these be briefs or are bikinis or hipsters acceptable as long as their white?

I am not a female, nor is my cadet. However, fashion is not the point. You need comfort in sweaty conditions. And expect to discard them at the end of swab summer as they won't be white anymore, or in any other way something you would want to wear again.

I had cotton Hanes bikini ones, the kind you get in a box of 6. They were cheap, they weren't too low, and were easy to run and work out in. Honestly, just get something comfortable that won't ride up or down. You don't have to get "granny panties" that go up past your belly button, don't worry!! As long as they're white, your cadre won't care.
