Wrestling

Yes, wrestling is a D1 NCAA sport whose coaches recruit following NCAA rules.

Easier to get in? That has sparked some lively debate threads, as to why or why not. Others can provide better insight.

You still have to deliver grades, leadership, "well-roundedness."

Mid1315, if you visit the wrestling page on navysports.com website, there's a link with a recruiting questionnaire. That's the first step. Every Navy athlete has to be qualified medically, physically, and academically. I'm betting the most "fluid" of those is the academic aspect, but none of us knows for certain because USNA's admissions process is completely opaque.

I'd suggest you start with the questionnaire, and do some parallel research (if you haven't) on academic qualifications. A good place for that are the class profiles for the last few incoming classes, easily google-able.

Good luck!

Take a look a the wrestling website and see if you on part with the wrestlers. USNA has a very strong wrestling program and long line of tradition. The Mids on the team tend to be amazing leaders, great in the classroom and physical beasts. It also takes a ton of time to play any sports at USNA. If you think you are on par with the wrestlers there, fill out the questionnaire and if the coaches think you could contribute they will get in touch with you.
