Hi Everyone,

My son was taking practice CFA's with his PE teacher. She advised him that she would be going out on maternity leave and would not be able to give him any additional tests. He proceeded to find someone else to give him the test which he is taking this week but he just found out yesterday that she submitted his crappy practice test score.

Should he still proceed with his scheduled test this week and submit the new scores in hopes that they take the better ones? Any suggestions on what to do in this case?

Thanks for any help!

CFA is more about passing than scoring high.

An applicant needs the Regional Commander's (RC) permission to retake the test.

If the plan is to retake the test, your DS needs to contact the Regional Commander to get his permission. I am not sure if your DS and enter new email address for the CFA?

My RC won't tell me what the passing scores are but, but average CFA scores for males are

67 feet BB throw
9 pull ups
9.1 seconc shuttle run
72 modified sit ups
54 push ups
6:43 1 mile run

Well, I can tell you that he probably didn't pass based on the scores she submitted. Do you know how long it takes for them to tell you to retake it if you didn't pass? And do they always offer a retake?

I'd call your RC or MALO ASAP and explain.

For a mistaken submission my bet is they will let you resubmit.

Your DS needs to check his candidate portal to see what status his CFA.

As for retake, usually competitive candidates are allow to retake or if you have a good reason (i.e. PE teacher submitting the practice test score or not).

The bottom line - ask the regional commander. There might be a perception that asking your RC too many questions might hurt your chance, but it is their job to answer question. Of course, asking questions that is answered on the admissison website might make an applicant look bad.
