You Never Know Where You'll Find Patriotism

You know, it's interesting. Every time I see an example of our country going in a direction I don't like (to take a basic example, people who just don't know history - and I know you guys know what I mean) something comes along that reminds me there's still good reason for the hard work so many men and women do to protect this nation.

This is just the best comparison - you've got people who live a pretty good life, take things for granted, and don't appreciate what they have and why they have the opportunity to live like that, and then you've got people like this. People who even as homeless (which I'm sad to see, but that's another topic in itself) have respect for and love their country - enough to brave stormy weather in the middle of the night to rescue something many would pass by as "another piece of cloth."

Great story. Doesn't look like the flag was "properly" folded, however, it's the thought that counts, and in this case, it's great it wasn't just left to sit in a puddle. Two thumbs up to that man! :thumb::thumb:

Looks like this story is getting momentum. It was on FoxNews.com and CNN.com earlier today (MSNBC didn't have it, but ironically a search on their website redirects you to Fox's article ), and it's the lead story on AOL.com right now - plus I'm sure it's on plenty of other sites by now.
