Scroll down and look at the exhaust. WHY WOULD THEY DO SUCH A THING?! They DECEIVE. I guess it's for the better, because with the exhaust being attached to the "Bumper flare" the sound would be less bassier. I'm not a huge fan of the IS-F (Lotus & Porsche FTW), but I can't believe they tricked me into believing that their exhaust was like that.

Haha I felt the same way when I found out. Actually put my hand in between the real and fake tips on a friend's brother's IS-F because I couldn't believe it, and there's a good 3-4" of gap between the exhaust and the chrome tips. But I give T̶o̶y̶o̶t̶a̶ Lexus credit for at least making a sporty car

Hell yeah, they made a really good looking car! I wonder if it'd put up a fight with the RS4 at all.

I don't know, the IS-F looks meh to me. Looks too Camry-like and boring. But I still give them credit for trying. Hmm the RS4 and IS-F weigh about the same (3700 vs 3800 lbs) but the IS-F has about 50 ft-lbs on the RS4 (371 vs 317) and similar bhp. I'd imagine they'd be similar in performance (never driven either tho). Do you know if C&D or anyone did any performance comparisons?

RS4 is AWD, so it'd BLAST through the start. The IS-F does have a bigger displacement, and a dual intake, but the auto-manual is laaaaaaame. The downshift apparently takes long to respond, and the Audi's got a 6 speed manual. But the IS-F's got an 8 speed.
Edmunds did a comparison. RS4 0-60 in 4.3 IS-F 0-60 in 4.8 I like the Audi RS4. A lot actually. I've loved German cars forever. Last edited by KawahWahidi; 30th July 2010 at 01:10 AM. |

Seems like a close enough race in a drag, whole different story on a track with the AWD and the IS-F's slow manumatic. I'd say a better comparison would be to a E90 M3. Both 4 door, V8, RWD. BMW does have the ridiculously slick 7 speed DCT. The paddle shifts on it take fractions of a second! Soooo smooth
German cars? Do you prefer BMW, Audi or Mercs?

Porsche and Audi! The E90 M3 would be a ridiculous challenge. With rear wheel drive, it'd have better handling. Against the GT2, however, both cars would fail under it's wrath. Haha, I dunno, the engine in the back would help it's RWD.
I like the E46 and E36 better, though. They look sharper. |

Haha GT2 911 is a whole league above the IS-F and M3. I'd like to see a comparo between the E90 M3 (4 door) and IS-F. E36 huh? You know anything about E36 M3s? I'm in the market for one
