Got my cherished Men's Glee Club concert tickets(sold out), family and friends graduation dinner party reservation details all taken care of last weekend.....Mid took his 1st final exam Monday.....the countdown has begun....4 years seems to have just flown by for this parent....we just flew out to Canoe U for a last fun weekend of croquet and taking Mid friends out to dinner before the big CW hits.

Who is the speaker for Commissioning this year, I failed to ask the Mid ?

Couldn't agree more, AF68. In fact, Sec. Gates himself was weepy. His remarks were just amazing. I didn't hear much for a minute or two after he said something like, "Every day, I thought of the men and women in uniform as my own children..." as I was crying too hard. I've been to a half dozen commencements in the last few years, but the only speech I recall is his.

SECDEF Panetta is slated to speak at Commissioning ( 2 SECDEF's in a row for USNA might be a 1st). The Mid-Mom leaves for the Yard today....I follow after work on Friday.....GO NAVY and BZ to the Class of 2012 !
