Default What could be worse than New England's Accent

Well at least they are represented by Tom Brady.

What I have to deal with....
My Jersey Accent and for that matter being represented in the national conscience, by Snookie, Jwoww, Vinnie and the rest of the Jersey Shore Crew

Years ago we hosted a couple students that were part of a group from the newly defunct Soviet Union. The girls from the group all looked like little "Madonna's" I asked one of the boys about how they were dressed, he said that the only exposure they had to young American culture was watching MTV that had just been allowed to be broadcast in their hometown.

I can only imagine what these kids would look like if they were to visit New Jersey after only being able to watch Jersey Shore.

I really sympathize with you, I have family in New Jersey, they cringe everytime Snookie makes the news.

Being from Seattle, we just get every "Rain joke" in the book. all true by the way.

Well- if you really want to hear what a Bostonian sounds like- here's Mayor Tom Menino (He's been the mayor for 22 years) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-UWthhS_Bw

BTW: It's pronounced "Beah"- not Beer. It's "Cape Cawd"; Worcester is pronounced "Wistah"- not "wooster", and it's "Hahvid". The train is called "The T"; and they are just "the Sox"- not "Red Sox nation" or any of that other trendy post 2004 nonsense!

Maybe so, but the singing barber was correct when he crooned "The bluest skies you've ever seen are in Seattle." Those days aren't many, though.
