Default Which Congressman do I use?

Alright so I live in one town and my school is in a different one...when all the applications ask me which congressman, do I use the one from the town that I live in or the town where my school is? Please provide a link so I can be sure. Thanks in advance.

No link required. Your congressman is the one in the DISTRICT that you vote in. You vote in the district that you LIVE in. If on the ballet, your parents live in district #4, and the person running for reelection is Representative Smith, and that's who they can vote FOR/AGAINST, then that is your congressman. They AREN'T ALLOWED to vote for the congressman in the other town IF that other town is a DIFFERENT DISTRICT.

If you want a link, simply go to google and find out what VOTING DISTRICT you live in (Or ask your parents; assuming they vote and know what district they live in). Then you can see who your representative is. It's real simply.

I.e. You could live in Albuquerque New Mexico and go to Boarding Military School in Virginia, and that doesn't mean anything. Your congressman is the one in Albuquerque where you live. In other words, it doesn't matter where you go to school. It matters where you VOTE.

For dependents (and most high schoolers are dependents), it is the district of legal residence of your parents. There are a number of factors that determine legal residence. Voting is one and probably most determinative. Others are where one owns/rents property, where one pays income tax, where one has car registered, where one has a driver's license.

As a general matter, the district in which your parents vote is most likely their district of legal residence. Where you attend high school is not relevant.
