It has happened. There was a court case in 2008 where a 2/c was dismissed (I think the dismissal came as a 1/c, but was started as a 2/c) for failing the PFE (he claimed medical issues prevented him from passing). The PFE at that time consisted of 5 events.

The ex-cadet sued the Govt to be awarded his Bachelor of Science degree, arguing that he had fulfilled all the academic requirements for the degree, as well as his officer's commission.

He was denied.

FYI - he was disenrolled from the academy, and (as per the regulations for the separation of a 2/c) transferred to the IRR as a BM3. (1 1/C would be rated a BM2).

Where do you check the "official numbers?"

What do you mean by "Looking at the way it's been the past few weeks for waivers, I'm guessing they probably won't get them." How has it been the past few weeks?

I checked the official numbers here at the Academy because I'm onboard. And secondly I mean that very few waivers are being accepted these days and as such I was not hopeful for many of the medical waivers passing through. ie The Coast Guard has a surplus of officers and is slowly reducing the size of the Officer Corps.

Objee can correct me if I'm wrong, but that is one of the prevailing reasons why the class of 2016 was so small to begin with.
