Default What branch is better for after retiring run for U.S . senate, congress, or president?

! I'm thinking Airforce or Navy. What do you think?

Examples:

Teddt Roosevelt
President Grant
All officers in the military

All fine examples, though if you're aiming at President, you may wish to take note of the following:

William Henry Harrison - began military life as an ensign in the Army - only lasted a month as President; couldnt handle the weather.
James Garfield - began military life as a lieutenant colonel in the Army - only lasted six months as President; poor doctoring.
Chester Arthur - began military life as a brigadier general - three and a half years in office; didn't even have to run for President.
Franklin Roosevelt - was a state senator before he became Asst. Secretary of the Navy; didn't finish his last term.
James Buchanan - began military life as a dragoon; completed one whole term as President.
Grover Cleveland - paid someone $150 to take his place in the Civil War - served two terms as President.

There are other examples, such as Zachary Taylor, Andrew Jackson, Harry Truman and William McKinley. The point is: if you insist on military service before becoming President, be a dragoon. Otherwise, your chances for longevity are better if you enter military life as a general.

As Paul Simon wishes he had sung: "It's only a Google away."

If reading is too much trouble, turn on the tv to dressage (Olympics) and imagine the rider with a gun in one hand and an axe in the other.

first you need to brush up on your grammar. Best advice is forget about running for any public office in this era, you undoubtedly have unrealistic ideas about what it is like and have no clue what a dirty business it is.
