Default Plebe candidate and family need help

This was posted on the Parents of 2016 USMMNA facebook:
Sam May, a Plebe from FL was just diagnosed with T Cell Adult Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, a rare form of Leukemia. Sammy will start chemo therapy treatments as early as tomorrow, and it is unknown at this time how long the treatments will be. Sammy will need to stay in hospital in NY for at least 2 months. A fund is being set up for the family who will have to remain in NY and miss work for an extended period of time.(The Sammy May Fund)
Please PM myself (Monica Waterbury) or any of the admins if you are interested in donating to the fund and I will give you more details.
Friends of the family are also putting together several fundraisers for the May family. Stay tuned for more details on those.
In time, we will be posting a Hospital address where to mail cards and well-wishes.
Please keep Sam and his family in your prayers as they prepare to embark in this arduous journey. Thank you~

Motels and food are going to be very expensive. How about the "Kings Point Family" coming forward and offering room and board to this family. It could be for a week, or longer. This is not just talking about love, this is practical love in action. With Parents Associations in the area, Cookie Cafe volunteers, friends in the area, alumni, teachers, administration, and others, I bet two months could be lined up for this family and the plebe candidate. What do you think?

GMATS is being used by the Reg Cocks.
There should be a Ronald McDonald House in the NYC area.

Families can stay there for as little as $10 a night, at least in the Milwaukee Area. I highly recommend the family getting in touch with them. Since our kids where in HS, we volunteered for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter dinners. It's a great way to give back and be greatful.
