DS heads to Lexington tomorrow for early return guard. Prep time before the Rat mass invades in a week or so. Good luck to Parents and Rats, Rooks, etc..

I was admiring my sons HS senior picture.. My word.. He looks funny with hair.

Good luck with school.
I want to mention there is an incredibly awesome italian restaurant in Montepelier. I think it would be considered great in Manhatan.
Portions on smallside though so order appetizers. Lunch is not as crowded as dinner.

Also highly recommend if you like crepes

This is a very cool place. French Vermont influence. All items with fresh ingredients. Try the natural soda they have. My son loved eating there.

Both restaurants are reasonable in price

Default TAMU Class of 16

My DD starts fish week tomorrow @ Texas A&M. Can't believe it is actually going to start after all the months and months of preparing/testing/training to get to this point! Good luck to everybody as you head out the door!

When last year's Corps Cadet Commander spoke to the Fish parents he told us it was a roller coaster ride; lots of ups and downs and it went by pretty guick. His Dad then spoke to us and reminded us that as parents we were in the trailing car, and that mostly, it was the kids ride. I found their remarks to be pretty much spot on.

I also found a great deal of information and indirect support by frequenting this site and reading what was going on not only at TAMU but also at the other SMC's. As with the advice and counsel referenced above, I found a great deal of wisdom in many of the posts and comments here.

I suspect your daughter and your family will find that the days are indeed long and years short. Best of luck to your daughter at TAMU and indeed to all of the Cadets at the sundry SMC's, federal academies, and ROTC programs across the country.

Oh yeah, as an individual not privileged enough to have attended TAMU I'm still learning, but "Gig 'Em !"

Default Again best wishes to all

Remember to hit the books first and foremost. Everything else does not matter if you don't perform academically.

Good Luck
