Hello my name is Jordan and I am applying for the Army ROTC scholarship. I am going into my senior year of high school and I am almost done with my application. I have my interview on September 12th.
I was wondering if anyone had any advice for interview process. Also, what are some things I might be asked during it. Also, what are the chances of getting the scholarship? I have a 3.3 GPA, Captain of my school’s Track and Cross country teams, take AP classes, and I help coach a Special Olympics track team. I am still waiting on my SAT scores, which I will be taking in October. If anyone has any ideas or advice, please let me know! Thank you! |

Here's some info on the interview.
http://goldenknightbattalion.wordpre...the-interview/ Your chances are already diminished because you waited until senior year to take you SAT. You will miss the first board. Other than that you stats could be better, and could be worse. There are a lot of variables to the process, and the only thing I usually say about someones chances are that they are zero if you don't apply. |

Your school choices will have a lot to do with your chances as well. Make sure you include a couple In State schools on your list. It can become more competitive if you only list Out of State or expensive Private Schools or schools that have very popular ROTC programs that have many applicants listing their school.
Clarksonarmy's link for the interview is great. |

What were your scores on the first test, if you have yout interview on Sept. 12th and the PMS gets it in quickly to Cadet Command then you will be reviewed by the first board. The first board will review you looking at the first SAT score that was submitted with the application. If you are not selected by the first board then you can update you new SAT scores and those will be used for the second board review.
If I'm off on any of this Clarksonarmy will correct me. |

If your scores were low, wait for the second board and retake the test. Google "march2success" and prepare for the SAT. Not sure if you prepared last time, but prep is important with your test scores.

Yeha i did (after looking at my application). I am going to resend them in once I retake the test. Would I even be considered if my scores were lower than a 1100 (reading and math)

Have you considered taking the ACT, some students do better on that test. The Army will take whichever is the higher score. Good Luck. |
