Hello,
I am a Junior in Chatham County Georgia and I became interested in West Point and possibly U.S. Naval at the end of my Sophomore year. I have been reading everything I can get my hands on about West Point and the other service academies since then. I'm sure a lot of people ask to be chanced, so I guess I will, too! There are three tracks at my school for math and science: regular classes, honors classes, and Advanced/AP classes Honors Algebra in 8th grade; A- Junior Varsity Basketball Local Government Youth Council 30+ hours Musical Production_ Suessical, Jr! Freshman year: Honors Geometry: 89 Physics: 92 World History: 95 English: 97 Latin 200: 97 Intro to acting: 96 EC: 30+ hours volunteering at Humane Society Cross Country JV Students for cultural diversity:member Quiz Bowl: member Musical Production: Guys and Dolls Sophomore Year: Honors Algebra 2: 91 Honors Chemistry (only honors science offered): 95 English: 97 AP Euro: 94 Latin 300: 96 Intro to acting: 96 EC: Local Government Youth Commission: (rigorous daily candidacy process over the summer, then membership during school year...we do a lot of community service) 60+ hours Teen Board member at hospital: 37 hours Harvard Summer School: 2 classes- Psychology of Religion and Crime and the Constitution, A- and A, respectively Musical Production-Fiddler on the Roof Dramatic Production- A Midsummer Night's Dream Junior Year: Honors Functions (same class as pre-calc w/o the title) AP Bio AP Lit APUSH Honors Latin (first year that honors class is offered, taken with seniors) Advanced Acting EC: Secretary Officer on Youth Commission Teen Board at Hospital Varsity Softball Track/ Cross Country- varsity SAT: M: 700, CR: 630, W: 730 ACT: M: 28, R: 33 Thanks!
