Earlier this week I received an email from a first class midshipman asking to meet with me and one other candidate over Thanksgiving Break. I was wondering if this is a positive sign and if so, how good of a sign is it? Any answer would be helpful.

DD has been told that she will have the opportunity to do the same thing just before Thanksgiving break officially begins. As a parent, I think that any contact from USNA is a good sign. I also think that this is a great opportunity to ask questions and show your enthusiasm for USNA. Bottom line though, the process will play out based on the strength of each candidate's application and ability to secure a nomination.

I was actually wondering the same thing. My BGO sent me an e-mail asking when would be a good time for me to meet with a Mid who would be in town over Thanksgiving Break. Let's hope it IS a good sign.

Maybe they only give these out to a few candidates per state, but this is just speculation.
