BRING OR NOT TO BRING... BUY OR NOT TO BUY... THAT is the question.
I would not recommend buying a new laptop for the prep school. Fourth Class Cadets are not allowed to have personal computers so you would not be able to use it at the Academy until March 2014. So if you have one bring it, but I wouldn't recommend buying a new one.

Just a heads up to Prep school parents. The AOG Webguy now has a Prep School forum/blog. It appears they may be covering their summer as well.

"A hearty welcome to the Parents and Families of the incoming USAFA Preparatory Class of 2013! I'm the WebGuy, and I'm pleased that we can finally begin providing comprehensive coverage of the Prep School experience."

I called PS this morning and asked. If you bring a laptop, you will NOT be able to connect on their network. You CAN use YOUR laptop for music, videos, or movies. You WILL be issued a laptop while you're there.

To all prep school scholarship recipients, there's now a link on the portal to the "Instructions to United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School Selectees." I know a lot of people here have seen this already, but for those who have yet to read it, go ahead and check it out.

On that note, does anyone know if we will fill out the Questionnaire for National Security Positions?

Read letter on page 43. Yes, you must fill out questionnaire.
