Default Class of 2017

Hi there! I am a soon to be Senior from New Hampshire. I recently attended the United States Air Force Academy Summer Seminar, and immediatly fell in love with the school. But here's my question!
-I come from a district that is not very competitive, especially for USAFA. If I recieve a nomination, how likely do you believe I am to attend the USAFA if I continue to grow and exceed as a candidate?
-Prep school has become a very viable option for me. I have been told I have the athletic and leadership experience to attend the Academy, but I am a tad below average academically. While this certianly could change over the next 7 months, how can I give myself a better opprotunity to attend the Prepatory School if I do not recieve an appointment initially?
Thank you, good luck and God bless to all!

Make your application to USAFA as good as it possibly can be. USAFA Admissions makes the decisions as to whom they will offer appointments to Prep. Sounds to me like you need to get your grades up as much as you can. Focus on the things you have control over, which is your grades. You have no control over whether USAFA Admissions will choose to offer you a Prep appointment if they choose not to offer you an appointment direct to the Academy.
